Prerequisites
Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of general insurance principles and policy structures. Prior exposure to underwriting or claims handling in motor or general insurance is beneficial but not mandatory. The program is suitable for employees working in motor underwriting, claims, operations, customer service, or broker roles. A general awareness of local compulsory motor insurance regulations within the GCC/MENA region will support better understanding of the subject matter.

This five-day program provides a comprehensive and practical understanding of Private and Commercial Motor Insurance. Participants will explore the risks associated with motor vehicles, underwriting considerations, policy wordings, pricing mechanisms, and claims procedures.
The course covers mandatory and optional motor covers, policy documentation, and the legal principles governing insurance contracts such as insurable interest, utmost good faith, proximate cause, contribution, and subrogation. Participants will examine the structure of the motor department, claims documentation requirements, fraud prevention techniques, and the impact of technological advancements on underwriting and claims management.
